Description (Service)

Provides a full range of primary care hospital services and selected secondary care services to the population of Hanover and the surrounding rural municipalities. Provides rural acute care and patient safety close to home.
Services include:

  • 24/7 emergency department with physician on-site
  • two operating rooms
  • Family Centered Birthing Unit - labour/delivery, midwifery services, epidurals, prenatal clinic
  • day surgery
  • specialist clinics
  • medical/surgical in-patient unit
  • special care unit
  • palliative care
  • hemodialysis unit
  • laboratory - electocardiograms, hematology, other lab testing
  • diagnostic imaging - mammograms, ultrasound, cardiac echo, CT
  • Flex Clinic -in collaboration with Ontario Health atHome, provides comprehensive outpatient care services.
