Description (Service) | COVID-19 Response Due to concerns regarding COVID-19, the following program changes have been implemented: * Friendly Visiting Program will be done by phone * Transportation Department is mainly providing rides for clients requiring non emergency medical trip and grocery shopping * Others in need of transportation should call to see if they qualify Regular Service: Independent multi-service agency provides a variety of community-based services for seniors and adults with disabilities to maintain quality of life and independence in their community Services include: * Transportation - volunteer drivers provide rides to local and long-distance medical appointments, grocery shopping, banking and other errands * Friendly Visiting - caring volunteers make regular visits and phone calls * Housekeeping - housekeepers provide cleaning and/or meal preparation See separate listings for more details on the following programs: * Day Away - social and therapeutic activities in a group setting and supportive information offered to family caregivers * Meals on Wheels - nutritious hot and frozen meals that are delivered to your door * MOVIN'GB - provides non-emergency, medical transportation to medical appointments using paid and volunteer drivers * Overnight Relief - staff provide care throughout the weekend for caregiver relief Programs and services are delivered in six service areas making up Grey and Bruce Counties: East Grey Area - Markdale Peninsula Area - Wiarton Saugeen Central Area - Hanover Shoreline Area - Port Elgin Owen Sound and North Grey Area - Owen Sound East Grey AreaMeaford |
