To locate publicly-funded physiotherapy clinics click here and select the local Ontario Health region to see a list of their local clinics.
Physiotherapy is publicly-funded for adults with a valid OHIP card who are in certain situations. Individuals need a referral from their doctor to access publicly-funded physiotherapy. Individuals who may be eligible include: - long-term care residents 18 years or older
- patients discharged from an overnight inpatient hospital stay
- recipients of Ontario Works (OW) or Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP)
- adults 65 years or older
Older adults 65 years or older who require in-home physiotherapy (at their own home or in a retirement home) need a referral from their local Ontario Health atHome office. Dial 310-2222 (no area code) or search here to find the local Ontario Health atHome branch
For individuals not eligible for publicly-funded physiotherapy, the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario lists private clinics. |
