Description (Service)

Hospital and community-based mental health services for people with a serious mental illness.

Programs include:

  • Community Mental Health Service Co-ordinator - Provides resources, collaboration and consultation to service providers, consumers, families and the legal system regarding information about mental health legislation and community treatment orders
  • Crisis Assessment and Support Team - available 24 hours for individuals and families in crisis or emergency situations, operates out of the Owen Sound emergency department
  • Crisis Support Program- 24 hour mental health and addiction consultation, assessment, treatment and follow up for patient who are experiencing mental health crisis.
  • Inpatient Psychiatric Unit and Psychogeriatric Unit
  • Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Primary Care Program
  • Behavioural Support Ontario - supports older adults with complex behavioural and or mental health needs

Application Self-referral and appointment required for most services. May be a waiting period depending on the program and time of year.
