| Description (Service) | Provides child welfare, intake/investigation/assessment, family support services, child abuse treatment and adoption services under the Child and Family Services Act to children and their families. Foster Care - foster parents are screened and take care of children in the care of the Society. Kinship Service - Grandparents, extended family members and community members who care for children in need of protection may be eligible for financial support and services as part of new reforms to Ontario's child well-being and protection system. Adult Protective Services - case management for adults who have a developmental disability - see separate listing for details. BGCFS also has an office located at 5 McGivern St W, Walkerton. |

| Public Comments | If community members wish to donate to the Hope For Our Kids Fund to support vulnerable children and families in the region, call the United Way Bruce Grey at 519-376-1560. All monies raised will go towards sending a child to camp, provide winter clothing and emergency food supplies. |
