Description (Service)

An extension of the Salvation Army Wiarton providing food, staples and basic supplies to families and persons of the Chippewas of Nawash Community. Assistance provided is based on family size. Service can be accessed twice a month.

Also provides Toy Drive and Christmas Hamper program in December, registration is required.

Volunteers needed, call the Food Bank.

Hours Food Bank:
Call to place order: Mon-Wed 9 am-3 pm
Pickup: Thu 1 pm-3:30 pm

Christmas Hamper:
  • Registration and distribution dates for 2024 to be announced

Eligibility Residents of Neyaashiinigmiing.

For Christmas hamper, one hamper per on-reserve household.
Application Food bank: call to place order.

Christmas hampers:
  • Apply by appointment on posted dates (to be announced in November)
  • Available for pickup.
  • If someone is picking up on your behalf, a signed letter from head of household is required.
