Description (Service) COVID-19 Response
The Grey Highlands Public Library is open to the public. All visitors are asked to keep their visits short and must wear a mask covering their face and nose. Hand sanitizer is available upon entering the building. Please monitor the Library's website and social media to remain up-to-date on service changes.
Note: Staff is available to assist with downloading vaccine passports and booking vaccine appointments.

Regular Service
A three branch system with locations in Markdale, Flesherton, and Kimberley. Provides comprehensive library and information services to residents and visitors of Grey Highlands and contracting municipalities.

Services include:
  • Online resources including movies, magazines and other reference materials
  • Reference and readers' advisory service
  • Programs for children and adults
  • Public access computer stations and free high-speed internet/Wi-Fi
  • Lendable Wi-Fi Hotspots (Kajeet devices)
  • Printing, copying and scanning
  • Fiction and non-fiction collections (books, audiobooks, ebooks, magazines and movies)
  • Alternate format collections and equipment for people living with disabilities (large print, talking books, touch screen computer with large print keyboard, Merlin LCC (video magnifier system), lendable DAISY player)
  • Home delivery for residents unable to travel to library branches
  • Interlibrary loans (to request material from other libraries in Ontario)
  • Local history and genealogical collections, print and digital
  • Exam proctoring
  • Meeting room rentals available

Service Details

Public Comments Grey Highlands Public Libraries will print vaccines receipts for $0.25 per page.

Tue-Wed 10 am-5:30 pm; Thu 1 pm-5:30 pm, Fri-Sat 10 am-5:30 pm - Hours subject to change, call or check website to confirm

Tue, Wed, Fri 10 am-5:30 pm, Thu 1 pm-8:30 pm, Sat 10 am-3:30 pm

Eligibility Individuals who live, work, or attend school within the municipality of Grey Highlands are eligible for a free library membership at any of Grey Highlands Public Library branches (Flesherton, Markdale and Kimberley). Southgate residents are also eligible for a free library membership. Non-resident and visitor memberships are also available (please visit the library for further details and fee structure).



Members of the Meaford Public Library and the Blue Mountains Public Library are eligible for a Grey Highlands Public Library membership by reciprocal agreement, and vice-versa.
