Description (Service) Promotes opportunities for individuals with intellectual disabilities to: develop physical fitness * demonstrate courage * experience success * develop skills and friendship with their families, other special Olympic athletes and the community 
Activities include a variety of indoor and outdoor sports such as bowling, Nordic skiing, floor hockey, bocce, golf, and swimming 
Athletes participate at local, regional, provincial, national and world levels

Eligibility Individuals with an intellectual disability, 8 years and up 
Individuals under the age of 8 may be able to participate in Active Start and FUNdamental multisport programs based on availability
